The lake town on the dam

about 1,900 residents20 min to Mountain HomeBull Shoals Lake & White RiverMarion County

Bull Shoals sits on the peninsula where the dam holds back a-thousand-miles-of-shoreline worth of lake, with the White River trout water starting directly below. It's the most lake-centric town in the region — marinas, boat dealers, and short streets where most houses are a golf-cart ride from the water.

Bull Shoals–White River State Park sits at the foot of the dam with the James A. Gaston Visitor Center overlooking it all. Living here means lake life first: summer is busy with visitors, winter is quiet, and everything else is twenty minutes away in Mountain Home.
