Bull Shoals Lake
45,000 surface acres, 1,000 miles of shoreline, water you can see 25 feet down. One of the cleanest lakes in the lower 48.
Fishing
Bull Shoals built its reputation on largemouth and smallmouth bass, but it's the stripers, walleye, and crappie that bring people back. Spring topwater on rocky points is unmatched. Winter striper trolling near the dam produces 30+ lb fish every year.
Houseboats & coves
Rent a houseboat out of Bull Shoals Lake Boat Dock or Theodosia and disappear into a quiet cove for 4 days. There are over 700 named coves — you can pick one a weekend for 10 years and not repeat.
Marinas & launches
Bull Shoals, Lakeview, Tucker Hollow, Theodosia, Pontiac, Buck Creek — over 30 public ramps. Most have a fish-cleaning station, gas, ice, and a cafe that opens at 5am.
